Lisah, ND and I have been using Box (different from Dropbox) for our cloud storage, and it's fabulous. There's yearly fee depending on how much storage you need, but you can share with anyone or access via the web or using Box Sync through your finder. Love it.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
thanks for the rec, Pix!
Evernote, fuck me. So, I said the Kustom Note was over-heavy (as well as annoying spelt), so I just went with bold text and horizontal rules instead. My ER visit template looks a bit like:
Doctor:
[NAME]
Nurse:
[NAME]
For some reason, since the first time I did that (Monday), Evernote now knows I'm typing in a form, and doesn't offer up the Doctor: part for editing. Just the [NAME] and a Done button. So much simpler to not mess things up.
Evernote--I continue to love you.
Android Market (fuck Play) has a 25¢ sale going on. Mostly games, but some good deals--I just saw CameraZoom, which is my default camera (and I got it during a 10¢ sale) and a pretty full featured looking scientific calculator.
Is this something I can do myself? Or do I bring it in?
[link] shows how to do it for MacBooks back to 2006. It looks pretty easy to do oneself for any of them.
What does it say for "Page outs" for your MacBook in Activity Monitor?
3.34 GB for page outs. That's a lot, I guess?
OK, Rob, so according to the system profiler I have 2 Memory cards in the slots, each 1GB. I assume I need to pull them and replace them with 2 2GB cards.
Newegg has this set for $54, it looks like the right thing: [link]
And then I follow the directions on the Apple Support page you gave me?
3.34 GB for page outs is a lot.
If you tell me the model information of your MacBook from "About This Mac => More Info" I can double-check it for you. Then indeed you follow the instructions from the Apple Support page.
It's an early 2008 13" black Macbook 4,1. Looks like the max memory should be 4GB.
Yep, that's the right memory and 4GB is the max, but that should be plenty for a few more years.
If you don't have a Phillips size 00 screwdriver you might want to borrow or buy one. It's pretty easy to damage those tiny screws using a bigger screwdriver.
