3.34 GB for page outs is a lot.
If you tell me the model information of your MacBook from "About This Mac => More Info" I can double-check it for you. Then indeed you follow the instructions from the Apple Support page.

It's an early 2008 13" black Macbook 4,1. Looks like the max memory should be 4GB.
Yep, that's the right memory and 4GB is the max, but that should be plenty for a few more years.
If you don't have a Phillips size 00 screwdriver you might want to borrow or buy one. It's pretty easy to damage those tiny screws using a bigger screwdriver.
ita !, I like ES File Browser for file exploration. It's fine. My favorite feature is that it can browse network drives, and can stream music/video over the server, even to players other the one it comes with. I use to to stream videos from my file server to my kitchen wall-mounted Fire (specifically, Good Eats).

Will do. Thanks, Rob! I love the Buffista hivemind.
So, I snapped and bought a refurbished Asus before my spending lockdown, because I'm just a tablet SLUT, and it's fun! It came with the docking keyboard, and although that's too heavy to put in my normal bag, and the keyboard isn't consistent and I find myself reaching for the screen instead of using the touchpad (and forced portrait apps--ANNOY--not all of them have to do that).
Not an everyday all the time carry around computer, but easily what I'd take on short trips where I don't have massive work to do.

The Transformer dealie through Groupon? Tim got that one. He's pretty thrilled with it, although he's adjusting to Android after a lifetime of using Windows.
Yup! I think this would be a better fit for me than a netbook. It still wedges into the small backpack I call a purse, even if it's not comfy. And 16 hours of battery with the keyboard dock? Obviously less when you're hammering away on the internet, but there wasn't peep one during a standard ER stay, while my Galaxy is usually reaching the point where I want to plug it in soon.
My current host (Fatcow) for my most important to site wants to renew for $105. Dreamhost is like 2 bucks a year more than (I'll bet less if paid a year in advance). I don't need dreamhost quality service. Are there still decent hosts out there that offer decent hosting packages in the $30 per year range?
Fluid hosting provides $30 dollars a year hosting, but I think it is a legacy package - they will continue to renew my existing (old) site for that but new sites are in the same range.
