Yeah, it's a weird glitch. But when I was checking my friend's old wall to look for my messages, I did see a few from other friends of hers that looked suspiciously private in nature. But people use FB different ways, and they could have just been quite personal-sounding public wall messages.

so, why not dropbox for your needs?
Is that what dropbox is for? I've only heard it being used to transfer files?
files on dropbox exist on dropbox servers, you can have web access, and on any machine (and smartphone) where you install the app.
there are straight backup solutions too if you want those but dropbox might be what you need.

So, am I right in thinking that iCloud is not really a storage option even though it says it has storage space available?
It has some kind of system for photos, I think, but I haven't tried to use it. Afaik, it can store documents as long as they are iWork generated. So, limited usefulness.
ah, okay! That's what I was trying to figure out and the Apple website was useless. I'll check out the other backup solutions.
