I am beyond annoyed. And the fact that no one is available at Sprint to receive my rage right now is only making my rage worse.
I'm leaning towards AT&T because I have them for my iPad already and it would probably make life easier.
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

i've also not had a problem with AT&T and i've been with them more than five years, at this point.
I feel sorry for the poor Sprint lady who just took my call.
Basically, I had a big bill last month. I PAID THE BILL. They tried to call me yesterday to say, I dunno, hey you had a big bill. But I was in the car with Allyson, the caller ID did not identify that it was Sprint and I didn't take the call. We were busy with stuff and I didn't return the call.
So they shut down my account.
As I explained to poor Sprint lady, I travel to Canada 4 times a year and usually have crazy bills those months due to data roaming. Cost of doing business. But since I PAID THE BILL I didn't understand why they SHUT DOWN MY ACCOUNT. She didn't either. As best as she could figure, they shut it down because I didn't call them back or something.
Apparently, Sprint has become a 13 year old boy who gets vindictive when a girl doesn't return his call within 12 hours. Fuckers.
ETA: Also, why the hell doesn't Sprint have a caller ID that says, I dunno, SPRINT?
I left Sprint over similar customer service issues many years ago and never looked back. I've had good experiences with both AT&T and Verizon.
Count me as another AT&T customer who hasn't had a big issue with them. I have had to call customer service a few times but issues were resolved politely and promptly.
Kristen,
I think you should go with whichever has better service. My ipad is Verizon and my cell phone is ATT right now (I am thinking of switching to Verizon because I cannot get a good ATT signal where I moved to). The benefit of having both was that wherever I was, I could get a message out because ATT or Verizon should work somewhere.
ATT's connectivity issues have been a problem and a half. Then too, I'm tired of their net nannying: you can't do facetime calls using their 3g/fledglng LTE network. And Verizon has true LTE.
So, I think we are going to move to Verizon.
Verizon is not the greatest in terms of customer service, but neither is ATT. I'll be giving up my unlimited data, but at least I can send and receive text messages and phone calls.
Can anyone tell me why I can't get to Twitter with Firefox? It's been two days. It won't even load! I'm on it with IE, but it sucks.
can you try it with Chrome?
all I can suggest is purge your cookies.
I know there are several fit bit aficionados around here-- thoughts on the new line? I'm kinda tempted to get the new cheap one with Bluetooth, just because normally when I travel I have to wait until I get home to see my daily totals and graphs and stuff.
But the 4-6 month watch battery part would be annoying I suspect. As in, it would run out and be months before I got it fixed.

I'm torn on the Verizon v. ATT issue. I'm told that I'd have to do a data sharing plan on Verizon even though I'd only have one device. I could do a data sharing plan on ATT since I have two devices, which might save me money since I'm rarely using both my iPhone and iPad data at the same time. Because of the Canada issue, I'm trying to figure out if Verizon has international data plans but their site is kind of a PITA.
