Hey, don't worry about it. Nest full of vampires, you come get me, okay. Box full of puppies, that's more of a judgement call.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Is that a memory joke?

A bad joke can still be a cute joke.

Rob, I use a utility called Disk Inventory.

It's shareware and super useful. Extremely detailed. Very colorful.

I've been using it for years to keep my memory as balanced as possible. Trying to stay below 50%. Not that such a practice really does anything useful for the computer...it just makes me feel better.

That's measuring disk space. The upgrades we've been discussing are RAM.

Sadly, both are hard to upgrade on your mini.

Oh, I'm sorry. I misunderstood the question.

According to 'about this mac', I have 2GB 1067 MHz DDR.

I'm actually doing okay on disk space, but processing is definitely slower than I expected for an 'upgrade'.

I'm still thinking I'll replace the memory myself, just not right now.

Poor guy. I should bring over some cookies. It would be the neighborly thing to do.

A friend in Brooklyn had her MAC stolen (in a burglary). Fortunately she had good backup. But she'd still like the computer back. I remember reading about people who found stolen computers by turning on the camera remotely and getting a picture of the thief. That requires some special app already on it I presume? You can't do that with standard Mac apps? Cause if she could that would be really helpful.

One reason it is frustrating is that she is 90% certain she knows who took it, because he was the only stranger in the building when it happened. But the cops just scoffed at the idea that he could be involved. "A white guy committed a burglary in Brooklyn?" were pretty much their words.

If she has Snow Leopard, there is a “Find My Mac” feature on iCloud; (I think it prompts you to enable it the first time you log into Snow Leopard). Otherwise, you need special software installed beforehand on the Mac; or have the “Back To My Mac” feature in iCloud enabled beforehand, which is tricky to set up.

So I went to check my voicemail and it appears that Sprint decided to shut off my cell phone service at some point in the last twelve hours. By the time I realized this, customer service was closed for the night. My rage is strong. I paid my bill, which was due today, two weeks ago. The same way I have always pay my bill early for the last seven freaking years.

Which brings me to...iPhone users, which non-Sprint carriers are you on and are you happy with them?
