Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't understand people who don't put all their music on their iPod (I know, ND, I know--Hec, you too), so I can't help you off the top of my head.

Time Warner--they are consistently crap support with just my cable and internet connection--they're one reason I'd never go VOIP only. I am not going to trust them with two important chunks of my connectivity to the world. The one is bad enough. The idea of their DVR strikes a chill in my heart.

That sounds about right, P-C. For both my iPhone and my Nano I have only some playlists synched to them. For the iPhone it's all purchased music and everything 3 stars and up ("smart playlists") and for the Nano it's my running playlist and my top rated songs.

My music won't even fit on the iTunes Match service.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Yeah, I suppose if I actually used iTunes as my primary music listening program and rated songs and everything, it would be better, but I can make playlists manually! I will choose my favorites with my choices!

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I had to store my itunes library on an external hard drive because my air just couldn't handle it any longer.

Why would give that an exclamation point?

I had to store my itunes library on an external hard drive because my air just couldn't handle it any longer.

Mine's been on the NAS since forever. But it also fits on my iPod, so it's all good.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Tell me if that helps.

You have got to be kidding me. That worked. Everything works now. Including the previously recorded shows.

Not that I doubted there was a reboot that would likely work, I just can't believe I wasted my time with Time Warner.

I've marked that post. Thank you so much.

I also suggest unplugging the DVR for about 30 seconds and plugging it back in before rebooting, for maximum rebootage.

Does anyone have Time Warner and use their dvr service?
Oh My. I had so many issues with TW when I was in Texas. They are the worst. I thought Charter was annoying. Charter is GOLDEN compared to TW. I suggest you call your local city government that deals with utilities. Cable has a zone monopoly at the discretion of city governments (I think that's how it's phrased). Let them know that you are having customer service issues, and are frustrated by the lack of competition in the area. It might help get FIOS or U-Verse fiber lines run.

Glad to hear the simple solution worked. I would add on to P-C's recomondation. I would say 2 minutes with power disconnected. It's amazing how many times I had to do that with TW cable box/dvr. Worked everytime. Turn everything off, kill power. Go get a glass of water. Check your phone. Power it back up. Good to go.
