The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

If you view xkcd from its mobile site m.xkcd.com, there is an (alt-text) link next to the title of the comic. Tap on that, and the alt text will be displayed.

There's also an xkcd app. I have it on my phone.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Excellent! Thank you all for the info.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

wow, it's like we are all xkcd fans or something. Strange. Hmmm, maybe we should think about opening a thread for it.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I am thinking of joining the world of the iphone. I will probably be using verizon, because the person I call/text the most is on verizon.

Considering I have wi-fi at home, work, and theatre, but I go on the internet for 2 hours on the bus, do you think 2G of data will be enough. I probably won't stream video on the bus, as it will cause people to talk to me.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I'm surprised at how little data I use on my iPhone. I'm on AT&T and have the 5G data plan, because that's the only AT&T plan that includes the Mobile Hotspot functionality.

I seem to be using about 10% of that. However, I don't watch videos or movies on my iPhone.

I use the internets on my iPhone about an hour each day that I take the train to work. Mostly I read blogs on Google Reader. Since I do it using the Mobile Hotspot for my laptop, I don't use the mobile version of Reader.

sophia,

I think Verizon will let you up your limit mid-cycle if you start to run out, yes?

Thanks. I don't know about verizon--I would be switching from t-mobile.

Also, is the kindle app for iphone OK? My kindle screen just perma-froze (this is the 3rd kindle I have had since December) and I can pay $85 for a refurb or get a new one. I have read 92 books on it, so it is worth it, I guess, since 82 of them were library books. On the other hand, I can just go to the library and get books now that it s summer.

Hey. New board.

The kindle app for iPhone is quite good, but you're still reading on a phone. I personally couldn't handle it as an exclusive e-reader, but I've also made my lovey dovey feelings for eInk known here for years since my Kindle Gen 1.

Have you called Amazon about your frozen Kindle? Their customer service isn't quite as amazing as when they catered to us early adopters and replaced broken Kindles for free no questions asked, but it's still pretty darn great.
