Buffistechnology 3: "Press Some Buttons, See What Happens."
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Huh. I somehow didn't make the connection that Dragon Go was *that* dragon. It was amazing even back in the day; we set it up for our quadriplegic friend on the Navajo rez and it was great even for her with her accent because of the customization it took.
I suppose you'll be telling me that Dragon, Fly, the addictive child's game with no threats or anything negative happening ever (seriously, like the game over point is when your mom dragon happily catches up with you and you have to go home) is also the same Dragon.
Ok, my Lexmark x4650 just shot craps, and i would cost more to fix than to replace. It prints, uses Wi-fo for networking, copies and scans, all of which I need.
I'd like to replace at an actual store, since I need ti connected today.
Any recommendations, or hot deals anyone knows about.
Dunno of its a deal, but I got one of these for the office, and it works great

My boss also got one. Just be aware, starter toner is small.
Caveat. I don't do graphics or high quality printing. I scan receipts and print credit card forms mostly. And some labels. That's 95% what I print.
If you need one ASAP, Staples and OfficeMax both have good deals on HP and Epson wireless all-in-ones. Right at this particular moment, my cheap HP all-in-one isn't talking to the computer, but it's been a pretty good printer for several years, and I really haven't started troubleshooting. I've just been being annoyed. I had an Epson that did well until it succumbed to Epsons' tendency to have the ink permanently clog up. I don't know if they've fixed that, but the ink is a little cheaper and the printers can be really cheap, so if they last three years like mine did, it might be worth it.
Is buying phones simpler in other countries? Because I can't walk into a Best Buy or Staples around here and get a good phone that's not tied to a new contract or an upgrade, apparently. What's so weird about just wanting a phone? I already have a service. Leave that alone.
So no, apparently not going to get a filler phone, but this busted one is getting more and more busted. I may soon be unreachable.

yes. buying a phone in other countries tends to be simpler. it is bullshit (for the most part) in the USA.
I heard Canadian smart phone users also complaining, so there is that.
Those are nice printers, and I would like to have a better one one day, but my budget is under $50.
I know you get what you pay for, but I just need basic stuff, and for it to work a year or so.

Well, I guess it's misery's company?
I haven't had a contract for at least five years now. Just gimme a phone, I already got a SIM card. We'll be good.
Serves me right, though, since all I want to do is return in it two weeks. But that's because the place that will eventually ship to me is about $100 less than all the others.
Ironically, it seems easier to convince the TMobile store to just gimme a phone.
ita !, you should be able to purchase a Go phone and just put your sim card in it. Just never use the sim card that comes with the Go phone. And make sure the Go phone works on your network. That is how we got CJ a new phone recently.
So you would just get this with one of the $0.00/month plans? I wonder how to find out if they have the key functionality I want--wireless tethering. I'm so afraid I'm not going to be able to swing that on my new phone.
