"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yeah, I was getting ready to pay for the premium app, which would let me have it fill the rest of the half screen that Cozi leaves, but I dunno.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I did have some technical problems with my registration, and their support people were very responsive and helpful. I'm tempted to pay for premium just to tip my hat to them being good at their job for a free application.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hmm. Now that I look at it, Cozi doesn't actually have anything other than a web interface either. Haruph.

Okay. I think it's possible I'm spending too much time working out my todo list software and too little time making the todo list, let alone doing the items therein.

Ima just pay for the app and see how it goes. It really isn't that often that I'm offline; it's just the principle of the thing.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Liese,

wunderlist is a great todo app - multi platform.

Wunderlist seems to have offline apps for Mac and PC, Liese.

I'm pretty invested in Astrid by now, and if Wunderlist doesn't have Locale/Tasker plugins, it's not going to be for me. It's been very useful for my automation tools to be able to read data from my to do list. I need every crutch I can find.

I just created a Locale setting so that if I put my tablet face down during the "night", audio is turned off. That's got to be one of the most useful things I thought of doing, because now I can take my tablet to bed, and know it won't wake me up unless I want it to. Without having to remember settings or shit.

Did I mention crutches?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

OMG that's the best thing I've ever heard of.

Checking out wunderlist now.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Hmm.

So is Astrid configurable with either Tasker or Locale? I see the Local plugin, but it's workable with Tasker, too, right?

§ ita § - Jan 07, 2012 10:24:33 am PST #19121 of 25501
Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

All Locale plugins work with Tasker.

I really need to get going on my conversion to Tasker, but there's that learning curve thingy. Anyway, let me go pay for Astrid. That will make me feel like I've accomplished something.

eta: Huh. I see other widget packages (paid) that say the integrate with Astrid. I hadn't thought of that...but I'll still buy the Astrid Power Pack anyway.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Okay. I figure if I'm going to learning curve anyway, I probably might as well start with Tasker. I don't mind tweaking stuff ad infinitum.

My problem with Tasker is that it provides so much more potential that I get brain freeze at the possibilities. Variables, Liese, variables. You can pass variables.

But I will start off by just converting the Locale stuff that was actually useful (god, the day I turned Locale off to save battery life? So not worth it--I'd totally gotten used to my phone automatically behaving itself during work meetings. Get a charging cable instead).
