Well, you'd better not be thinking what I think you're thinking, because my answer is the same as always — no threesomes unless it's boy-boy-girl. Or Charlize Theron.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

If it has a plug and a USB port, that's all I need, right?

You might want to check they charge with the same current first. Just in case.

Coding and Sleeping

I'm glad they used a standard connector on the Kindle Fire, but I do prefer mini-USB over micro-USB. It's not that much bigger. (Says I who doesn't design hardware.)

I hate having them both, because I forget to check which cable is which before packing my bag, and only my camera is mini and the rest of the standards are micro.

At least I have one car charger unit that will juice my Tablet, and I can connect the rest of the USB cables to that. Juggling cables and chargers for the trip home was irritating.

Hey. New board.

I've used the iPhone charger to charge my kindle, and vice versa. It seems to work fine. I think the kindle charger is slower, but it gets the job done.

Now, my kindle and phone are both micro-USB which makes me extraordinarily happy.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

When I was having trouble charging my Kindle, they did say not to use an iPhone charger because it did not give it enough power to overcome being drained of charge. It didn't charge anyway, and they ended up sending me a new one for $40 (mine was out of warranty. My only problem is that I need to get a new case as my old one does not fit the new Kindle Keyboard.

Does anyone know how the owners lending library works? How long can you have a book out? I just borrowed Hunger Games and am wondering how long I have to read it.

Really? That doesn't make sense to me - the iPhone charger is specifically designed to send more current than an average USB connection, not less. Apple does some annoying things with the USB specs that make them a not always work the way they should with non-Apple products, but I've had good luck with interchanging their chargers.

I haven't used the Prime lending library, so I can't help you there. Sorry.

Okay, apparently my phone charger, which is a micro USB/USB cable plugged into a converter, works on my Fire. Woot.

Oh, cool! Then my phone charger should work as well. Nice.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

So for Hanukkah my Dad got me and my mom matching Logitech C910 webcams so we can Skype in HD. The camera is great, except that the Pan & Zoom functions don't exist on the Mac, and the lens is so wide that putting it on top of the TV (hooked up to the Mac Mini) means I'm a tiny speck on the couch about 6 feet away. There's a 3rd party utility called iGlasses which fixes this, but is $20. Anyone know of a free driver I can install that will do the same thing?
