Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

So, basically, like the homescreen sliding functionality, but for just a section of the screen with same sized widgets? Interesting.

I'm trying to organise the screens on my phone the most efficiently, and I don't even know. Half the main screen is given over to the Google Voice widget, 1/4 to a SiMi clock/weather widget, and the remaining strip has folders with email, browsers, voice communication, and navigation apps.

I don't get how the people who have their screens showcased on LifeHacker get away with the sparing (and gorgeous) layouts that they do. I'm trying to thematicify mine (like, all the toggles on one screen, productivity widgets on another) and it's just a mess. No one widget packet has everything I need, so no pure style consistency.

A big, glorious, useful mess, though.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

You just say that now, ita ! but wait until you get all amphibian. And I will need help, le nubian, so thanks for the info! I am right now just flailing around. But I can tell I will waste a lot of time on it.

I agree with both gris and ita ! on the widgets. I spent half a morning on this furlough reorganizing my home pages and I don't like it. I like the widgets, I do, I just want them to be more consistent. And possibly smaller. Or to have more than five damn screens available.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Liese,

I don't know if they have achievements in the Android version, but work on the achievements. It helps you move up levels.

If game center and android mix, I'm happy to send you frogs.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I have an Access database question-

I have a "memo" field in my database to put directions to certain rooms in my confirmation. It is a memo field because the directions can be longer than 255 characters. The way the database developer here set up my confirmation emails, it is a mail merge to word. In the word document, the directions are truncated to 255 characters, which means I have to type in the directions each time I send the email, which sort of defeats the purpose of the mail merge.

The database developer says that it is just the way it is, that there is no way around that-- does anyone know if this is true?

I found this: [link] but am not sure how to solve any of the problems.

ADW.Launcher has up to nine.

I have Launcher Pro on my phone, and ADW on my tablet, and I was doing research to see if it's worth paying for Pro Plus, and apparently it's abandonware. So I can't decide if I should toss all the tweaking I've been doing to that and put ADW on the phone too.

I have to admit, I do like the foldering better on ADW, and it's even better for a small phone form factor...

Hmm.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Sophia -- Can you split the directions up into several text fields so that none are longer than 255, and then concatenate them after they're brought into Word? It's not elegant but it should work.

That might work- thank you Jon!

The amount of branding all over these laptops I am configuring for my family is teh nast.

Is there a way to replace the screen that Windows 7 shows on shutdown, or when you're logging in from having locked the machine? Basically, I want to get some of the instances of "Acer" and "Samsung" and strange glowy neon artwork off it.

Also, in terms of free or shareware applications that are compatible with the most recent Office Standard formats--what would you recommend?
