Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

The amount of branding all over these laptops I am configuring for my family is teh nast.

Is there a way to replace the screen that Windows 7 shows on shutdown, or when you're logging in from having locked the machine? Basically, I want to get some of the instances of "Acer" and "Samsung" and strange glowy neon artwork off it.

Also, in terms of free or shareware applications that are compatible with the most recent Office Standard formats--what would you recommend?

I've used this software to change the Windows 7 startup and shutdown screens to my company logo for my rental machines. [link]

Oh, excellent, ND. I bought an Acer already. I don't need to be advertised to anymore, and it's not one of those brands that makes me warm in my pants every time I get purchase affirmation or anything.

Which is better -- Goodreader or iAnnotate?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

What do you want to do?

IMO, you need goodreader anyway. It is a swiss army knife that allows you to transfer all kinds of files to and from dropbox, email, etc. I have downloaded video files through goodreader and opened them in another app. I have downloaded ebooks, etc. You can sync files with a particular folder in dropbox, etc.

It is much more powerful (given what you may want to do) than iannotate.

Iannotate I think is best for annotating files. It is a much better UI than goodreader, but it does one thing really well.

What's a UI?

I'd like to annotate PDFs for work, but I'm not sure that I need both of them?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

sorry.

User Interface.

In my opinion, if you will be doing a lot of PDF work, I'd recommend iannotate. You can customize the menus and I annotate quicker using iannotate than GR. There is a big manual with IA, but you can get through that without too much trouble.

You can also sign documents with IA if you have an image with your signature.

I think you should get GR just on GP. It is really one of my favorite apps. I have it for iphone and ipad.
