"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm lame.

Where do I go on my Mac to find the System/Library/Fonts folder?

All is well that ends in pizza.

David, you will find them by opening the hdd icon on the desktop, for one.

It's best to put fonts into the root Library/Fonts folder as the System/library/fonts are the reserved system ones and should not be disturbed.

you can also go to your user folder/library/fonts to put in fonts just for your own use.

I'm upgrading from Leopard to Snow Leopard here at work - is Archive & Install still the approved way to go?

back your computer up first.

I cannot remember how I upgraded, but my upgrade from leopard, to SL was seamless.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

This is pretty surprising in how general it is in scope. But maybe that's the ubiquity of multitouch today speaking. Also, isn't Microsoft going to have to pay them a pretty penny too? I get a whiff of grudgematch off this, personally.

I want to go back and listen to the audio clip about all the data Siri stores (from a positive bent), but it keeps crashing my browser. The Forbes site is an overbusy linkwhoring piece of shite.

We won’t stop until everyone is gay.

Hello, my geeks. I am trying to sync an iPhone app with its counterpart on my Macbook via wi fi. I'm working my way through the troubleshooting info the app gives [link] and tried pinging my iphone. I get from 0% to 50% pingback, even with my phone and Macbook sitting three feet from my router. I've rebooted both the iPhone and Macbook but not the router or modem (but I rebooted those earlier this week). I tried setting an ad hoc network (that was pre reboot). I have the most recent versions on both macbook and iphone.

Help?

Possibly related question - I found with my 3Gs and it seems to be the same with my iPhone 4 that wi fi is much slower than the 3G network. Like, today, I couldn't even get the App Store to open until I turned off wi fi. What's with that? Could it be my router? It's a linksys I got from amyth, so I don't even know how old it is.

Does anyone know if there is a place to sell your iPhone 4? (or if anyone knows someone who wants one?)

Wow, wish I'd seen that post last Friday. Oh, well.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I really wish that the Supreme Court would rule that the current application of patents to the computer(etc) industry is counter-productive to the intent of the system and force a major overhaul.

But, then, I wish for many things.

Sorry, smonster, I have no helpfulness.

Well, I haven't made any progress, but I've learned that I could have repaired/replaced my iPhone charging port for $30 and successfully created a ringtone from a purchased AAC file in iTunes 10.

Skipping to the end to ask y'all if there's a good place online that lines up the various tablets that are available and compares them side-by-side?

I was just talking with Mom, and it sound like she's interested in getting one for herself this Christmas, and might be up for getting me one, too!

IIRC, B&N is going to be announcing their own tablet sometime this week, right?
