Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I did it, but now I've got duplicates for all of my calendar events.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I have been stuck all day on upgrading devices to the new iOS. So frustrating.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I just saw that. Sad. Pouring out a semicolon now.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, there is now a website on things that Siri (apple's new voice client on the 4s) says.

omnis, pursue. That's an order from a shy woman who can use M-16. - Shir

dear jeebus, the process to update my iPad. So I started it 3 times, but the back up process was taking FOREVER. Like 90 minutes, and barely a sliver of progress bar completed. For the third time, I first sync'd and removed all video and audio. The last attempt started about 11:45. The iTunes panel indicated the last back up was finished at 1:11am. I woke up 10 min ago (laptop still on lap, in recliner chair) to see the final minutes of the restore. Now the iPad looks like it's ready to go, but iTunes is saying "restoring iPad apps", so I don't dare disconnect. Dude. SIX HOURS. I realize it's a major OS update. And the fact it's free is real cool. But 6 hours!?

my ipad did not take that long. I have a 16GB, so I am not sure if that made a difference. The iphone however took awhile. I had backed up prior to the release of ios5, so that did not pose a problem for me.

The main problem I had with both was during the initial restore when I think it had to call to the mothership and apparently God and everyone was updating at the same time. I also had a problem at the restore part. It took me a few tries to get that working.

I like a lot about ios5, but there are a few things I do not like.

Oh, and I filled up Icloud like right away. I had to go in and delete some apps from Icloud.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

this is one of the many reasons i don't do the updates as soon as they're available.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I left my iPhone connected last night so it could update while I was asleep, but when I looked this morning it had still only downloaded. Probably it was waiting for me to click OK to something and timed out.
