I've got a bunch of .avi and .mp4 video files I'd like to watch on my DVD player on the TV.

Depending on how old your dvd player is, it might read them right from the disk, without any conversion needed. The documentation for the dvd player should say if it reads .avi files.

So, anyone have thoughts on Verizon vs ATT vs Sprint? My contract with ATT was up in July, so I'm all for getting a new phone.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I use Verizon, but only because of the coverage area, which is vastly superior to the others in rural areas like mine. I don't really have a choice.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

meara,

I cannot remember where you live, but Sprint's coverage was ass when I was traveling in CA this summer.

Verizon & ATT are both the antiChrist IMO. They nickel and dime you to death.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

I had no complaints with Sprint, I switched to Verizon because I wanted a Droid. My contract was up in August, but I plan to stick with Verizon for the new Samsung (which I hope will be released soon), and because I am grandfathered in with an unlimited data plan. With Sprint I think you can still get unlimited data on a new contract.

I haven't had any problems so far with Sprint, except for Yellowstone, where Verizon & ATT had better coverage. But I would only do Sprint if, like me, you want to use Virgin Mobile for the $$ savings. But then you'd be limited in your phone choice.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I use Verizon, but only because of the coverage area, which is vastly superior to the others in rural areas like mine.

I also use Verizon and stuck with them for the coverage.

Our wings are not tired

I'm on AT&T and haven't had major problems and I've had good customer service out of them on the whole.

I've had AT&T for years and also have had good service.
