It turns out that wen we move to Cincinnati we'll be able to get over the air TV again. I had sort of forgotten about that, since we get none here! We're talking about replacing our 20+ year old big square TV with one of these newfangled ones. I'll look up Consumer Reports, but any suggestions? We don't need gigantic or HD, but not randomly breaking for no reason would be good.

I'm not sure it's possible to buy an SD TV anymore. And most new TVs will probably support 3D as well, since it's so cheap to build in the capability.
That said, I love my Samsung. When we were upgrading a few years ago, they were far and away the best-reviewed brand out there.

I bought my 32-inch flat panel off of craigslist 2 years ago for $250 (It was a year old then). Prices have come down so much every year that you could probably find new for not much more these days.

I'm thinking of signing up to be an iOS developer. Has anyone here done this? Any recommendations of good books for iOS development? I've got an idea for a pretty narrow focus app that I'd like to work on.
