Yup, I'd say within the last 8-12 months.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
Twitter is all lit up with tech folks (former Google staff, laughing Squid employees, DJs) losing either G+ access or being locked out of everything -mail, calendars, documents - is anyone else seeing this?

I'm in G+ fine.
Google has apparently, tossed out a bunch of early users.
If this story is not leaving out anything, this type of problem with gogole has been happening a while.
Or maybe it is something else.
On the previous discussion, Liese if your friend got good service in the last 8 months but my friend got hosed two months ago maybe something has changed very recently for Lenovo. Like in the last two or three months.
What about Asus laptops? I've been pretty happy with my Asus netbook, but I don't know if there's any difference with the bigger machine.
Don't know about Asus. My last Asus netbook lasted about two years. Actually the advice about Toshiba is probably good advice. Known as a quality brand with quality service. Don't know who else fits that these tday.
Jesse, what's the problem with the songs, again?
When I go to play songs I've bought, or sync my iPod, iTunes says the computer is not authorized. So I type in my Apple ID and password, and it says it is authorized. Lather, rinse, repeat. It's apparently a problem other people have (including our own megan walker!), but none of the suggested fixes work for me.
So this news about people losing their Google accounts and all their data makes me really nervous.
What's the best way for me to backup everything I've got on the Google cloud? I'm particularly concerned about the email. Just get Thunderbird and download everything?
