Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Can you use Thunderbolt to boot into target disc mode?

Yes.

Will we ever be able to do that with USB?

Doubt it.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Lion doesn't have Spaces? I love Spaces.

Lion doesn't have Spaces?

It does, it's just accessed differently.

I'm having the stupid today (you have no fucking idea how much my head hurts right now). Does that mean there aren't a limited number of virtual desktops where you can group apps, but virtual desktops per app?

Also, Yahoo News sucks.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

le nubian, I have the Bluetooth off and have turned the wifi off and on.

I think part of the problem is that the modem doesn't handle streaming well. It crashes when I try to watch something live. It also doesn't seem to be fond of Flash either. It certainly doesn't like streaming and playing a flash game at the same time!

I'm going to see if I can watch a few short videos and see if that crashes it.

I also know that my sister's modem is quite a bit older than mine and may not be handling the speed the provider has moved up to. If that makes any sense.

There are still virtual desktops where you can group apps. If you run an app in fullscreen mode, it is put in its own personal virtual desktop.

Ah, good. Because that would have stopped me from upgrading. Now I'll think about it.

Our wings are not tired

I just placed an order for 10 of the new 2.5 GHz Mac Minis.

Thunderbolt will end up being pretty nice. Right now there's not a lot for it, but it's not replacing any ports right now. The old MacBook Air only had USB, the new one has USB and Thunderbolt, so you gain a port and don't lose any. The Mac Mini has both Thunderbolt and FW800.

What is the model? This could very likely be the case.

Coding and Sleeping

At some point Thunderbolt won't be Apple only and I expect the peripherals should start to become more plentiful at that point.
