Aha, that worked! ...I don't know why that didn't occur to me. D'oh. Thank you!

A dress should be tight enough to show you're a woman but loose enough to flee from zombies. — Ginger

OK, I am taking a quick break while letting the cake cool.

So. I will not be able to work more heavily on this until June, but I want to garner my forces now.

As some of you may remember, I bought my domain name and hosting services through Dreamhost, and quick-uploaded the wordpress.org package and got my website going. No real content on there -- just wanted to get something up to work on.

Now, I can't even figure out a way to GET to my dashboard to make changes to the wordpress page, and all the other stuff at Dreamhost: FTP sites, SQL, activation, yadda yadda, is Greek to me.

I really thought since I have no problem with my wordpress.com blog, that having and hosting my freelancing page through Dreamhost and Wp.org would be fine, but I AM LOST.

Utterly, driven to tears, can't even figure out how to get to my WP.org dashboard LOST.

Would anyone, in about 3 weeks or so, be willing and able to help me out setting all this Dreamhost stuff up? I am willing to, and am trying to, educate myself -- I want to be self-sufficient. But right now, it's all gibberish, and I can't DO ANYTHING. I'm afraid to do anything, because it's like I'm reading a BOMB MAKING MANUAL in Sanskrit or something.

I am broke as fuck, but I would be willing to pay a a little money, barter freelance writing and editing services, bake you a freakin' cake, give you access to my Dreamhost account for tweaks -- whatever. (I'm not dumb -- I'm talking about Buffistas I've known forever, and would change the password.

But this is beyond my present skills, and I need HELP.

Like I said, I can't concentrate on it till after June 3rd. But I tried to get onto my site today just to do some quick thing and CAN'T EVEN ACCESS IT.

And this is going to be my gateway for my freelancing business and it's vital and I can't afford a web designer and I am FREAKING THE FUCK OUT.

Ok, I have to go roast a chicken, glaze a cake and shower. and stop hyperventilating.

Profile addy is good.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Erin, cara mia, I'm out until this evening, but I'll hunt you up once I get home if you want.

amych, I would be so, so grateful for any help.

I can't work on it this weekend -- not really, maybe, except for a couple of snatched hours, until the end of May. I'm juggling 3 freelance gigs, one of which is a LOT of content creation, AND teaching.

But on June 4th, I will whip this bitch into shape if I have to bleed through my eyeballs.

Thank you, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Have to shower now -- guests coming in 32 minutes.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Minor annoyance: Why does the transparent border of my Firefox 4 browser shift suddenly for no apparent reason? It's very distracting.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Anyone else just lost Plants vs Zombies HD after the last iPad OS update? I even redownloaded it from the app store and it's still not showing up.
