I'm helping my mom set up her new computer. She's been using a PC, and she got a Mac. She's got a whole lot of passwords saved in Firefox on her old computer that she wants to transfer over to her new computer. What's the best way to do this? I've found a few different options through Google, but I'm not sure which would be the best and/or easiest.

Hil,
I think firefox has a syncing structure if you sync firefox to firefox. You might just need to set up firefox sync on both computers and be done with it.
I've got another issue with helping my mother set up her new computer. She got a MacBook Pro, and she's using Firefox 4. When she tries to play Scramble or Lexulous on Facebook, it shows only part of the usual opening screen -- for Scramble, it shows the box on the right with the Scramble Profile, but not the set of buttons on the left that let you actually play the game.
Already tried installing the latest version of Java, which didn't help. Also already checked that she wasn't using the secure browsing, since I know those games don't work with the https connection. I tried logging her out of facebook and logging me on on her computer, and the games don't work in my account, either, even though they do work in my account on my computer, which is also a MacBook Pro running Firefox 4. Any suggestions?
edit: Figured it out! The problem was that her computer didn't have Flash installed.
Oh my god, I am going out of my mind. I just bought a new Dell laptop (Inspiron 14R) and am trying to figure out how to use the plus and minus and enter keys in the Calculator program, so that I can do everything via the keyboard instead of typing numbers and then having to mouse over and click the plus symbol on the calculator.
I was guessing that the Number Lock key would help, but I can't figure out which effing F key is Number Lock, and all the googling in the world just turns up supremely unhelpful stuff like "To enable Number Lock, press the Fn key + NumLock." BUT WHICH KEY IS NUMLOCK???
Sorry for the asscaps, but I've been trying to figure out this very simple thing for at least half an hour, and I'm about to tear my hair out!
...you don't have a plus sign over the equals key? Where have they put things on your laptop??
Try function - f11 or look for a little lock, somewhere?
meara, there's a plus sign over the equals key on my keyboard, but when I press it while in the Calculator program, nothing happens. I want to find the key that will make it work like it's supposed to!
Daniel, none of my keys have a lock symbol on them. I've tried several keys and none have worked, and I'm reluctant to try them all (since I don't know what any of them do) in case I trigger something I can't undo.
I don't have a keypad on my keyboard, but F6 has a little lock on it. If that helps.
Doesn't seem to be NumLock on my keyboard, but thanks for mentioning it, Jesse. *sigh* I'm starting to think I just can't do what I want to do, which is annoying, and makes me miss the big keyboard on my desktop (with a separate number pad and everything!).

Try "shift" + "+" when you want to add in Calculator. I don't have NumLock either; I have to use F11, which is really annoying for accents.
