Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

In fact, I kept getting confused because I wasn't really looking at drop down menus, I was just rightclicking and then moving the cursor down to open in new tab, not realizing I was opening in new window, and then I was all confused.

Oh yeah, that took a minute to get used to.

Can you get stuff out of the drop-down autocomplete or whatever address bar in FF? I haven't tried that hard, but in IE, there's just an X you can click on the right of the drop-down list.

yeah, thought so. Might just be an issue with Vizios and Tivo. I like the TV otherwise. It's a tiny issue, I don't get the tivo sounds when I am using the FF buttons while watching a show. I miss my bloops, but it's not that big of a deal.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I've seen some prices for HDMI cables that (in my opinion) border on the criminal.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Ctrl+Shift+Del or Tools->Clear Recent History

It's a good idea to select to show Details so that you can pick just what you want to delete.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

It could still be a bad HDMI cable, but spending more money for one won't increase the odds of it being good.

So I was just trying to have a video chat with a friend using gchat, and weirdly, I could see him, and myself, in the little window, and we could hear each other, but he couldn't see either. He kept getting a message that his computer didn't have a functioning camera, or something. Which...clearly it did, I was getting video of him. Any thoughts? (He's apparently on a macbook--if there hadn't been any video, I'd have assumed it was an issue with the camera, but since there was...)

Ah! That's what I was looking for! Thanks.

Edit: No, sorry, I meant individual sites. Not the whole shebang....

Sometimes I think I might just move up to Vermont, open a bookstore or a vegan restaurant. Adam Schlesinger, z''l

I'm helping my mom set up her new computer. She's been using a PC, and she got a Mac. She's got a whole lot of passwords saved in Firefox on her old computer that she wants to transfer over to her new computer. What's the best way to do this? I've found a few different options through Google, but I'm not sure which would be the best and/or easiest.

Hil,

I think firefox has a syncing structure if you sync firefox to firefox. You might just need to set up firefox sync on both computers and be done with it.
