t edit It's a known issue that happens after upgrading -- the post I linked you to has a link to an Apple discussion about it, and suggestion for contacting Apple.

I'm not tech-y enough to know *why* it's an issue, but it happened to me, and angry googling finally turned up that thread, which seems to address the exact issue. Upgrading shouldn't be a problem, but there's a ghost in the machine somewhere.

I read some of the posts and then just restarted my computer.

That worked. I don't know why, but I was able to watch the episode.
