The upgrade is the problem. If the link to Apple in the post I linked above doesn't work, use this: [link]
Spike ,'Sleeper'
Buffistechnology 3: "Press Some Buttons, See What Happens."
Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I'm not tech-y enough to know *why* it's an issue, but it happened to me, and angry googling finally turned up that thread, which seems to address the exact issue. Upgrading shouldn't be a problem, but there's a ghost in the machine somewhere.
quester, did you see my post with a working link to the discussion?
I've just shot a request for help from Apple for that same problem--I'll let y'all know what they do for me when I hear back from them! (They promise a response within 24 hours.)
I did, Steph.
I read some of the posts and then just restarted my computer.
That worked. I don't know why, but I was able to watch the episode.
Dang, I wish it would have been that easy for me. Well done!
Are you on a PC or a Mac?
Mac. Old (2005 [or maybe 2006?]) iBook. Running Tiger and iTunes 9.2.
Dang. I really need to upgrade.
Yeah. I have a 2008 Macbook Pro. I'm not sure what OS I have, come to think of it.
I'm on a PC, using Vista, and having the same problem.
