Speaking of apps, I just bought my very first Apple product, an iPod Touch, and was wondering if anyone had any good recs for apps that I should check out?

do you like games? pocket frogs is still a game I play. it's free. truly, but you can pay for certain items if you want. you don't have to to enjoy the game.
beyond this...what kinds of things do you need or are into? I have a lot of apps.
Remember how I was fussing about the call volume on my new iPhone? I shall fess up to what is now the "oh duh" reason. I had left the protective film on the front and back until I got a case for it, cause I wanted to keep it...protected. Well, said film covers the speaker. As soon as I took those off and put a case on it...ta-da, perfect volume.
Yeah, I discovered that hours ago and I still feel stupid.
Angry Birds!
(Free or pay)
Plants vs. Zombies (pay)
And I agree about Pocket Frogs.
You can find cool things like food calculators of various types.
Words with Friends is fun too.
I second the game recs from everyone. (And if you get hooked on Angry Birds, don't forget about Angry Birds Seasons!)
Seesmic for Twitter & Facebook. (The standalone Facebook app is also very good.)
Remote if you have Airtunes.
