I just said that you're pretty. Even when you're covered in...engine grease, you're... No, especially, especially when you're covered in engine grease.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

We've been sans cable since January and haven't really missed it. Of course, part of that is that we don't have time to watch TV with the new baby and all - we've been keeping up with Top Chef via iTunes, but I haven't watched TDS or Colbert since she was born. Now with the Mini I can just turn them on from the couch (via Hulu or Comedy Central or Boxee or whatever) without having to plug my laptop into the TV.

Trust my rage

How is the no-cable thing going? It sounds like its going well and I've been semi-inspired by your move to think hard about getting rid of our. I think most of what I want I could get on iTunes for less than what I pay for cable. And I want an antenna I guess to get football games in the fall/winter.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You've downloaded Hulu Desktop, right?

MacOS X Lion no longer includes Front Row. Apple is clearly pushing for people towards AppleTVs instead.

I did not even know about Hulu desktop! Cool beans.

Like I said, we haven't missed cable at all. Everything non-network that we watch is available online in some form or another, and mostly for free.

ION, iPhoto stopped working on my laptop this morning. This means I have to find the install disk, doesn't it?

Try moving your iPhoto library out of the way, and see if it will run. (In the worst case, all of your pictures in your iphoto library can be recovered).

Tom, have I mentioned lately how awesome you are? That worked. Of course, I now have no pictures - what do I do to rebuild the old library?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

First, try moving your original iPhoto library back in place and try this. Otherwise, try the manual rebuild procedure that the document talks about.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

Readability has forasaken me and moved into paid territory. Are there an free converters out there that can translate horrible webpages into easily readable simplicity? I'm living off of ramen noodles in order to put gas in my car, help!

All is well that ends in pizza.

Julie, if you use Firefox, I Use Adblock plus and flashblock add-ons to cut down on the visual clutter.

There are others, but I can't stand doing without those two, at the very least.
