My iPod Touch won't sync its system time when I do a sync. Any ideas?
no ideas. all I can suggest is google because it looks like this has been a problem for 3 years.
Need some Outlook help, y'all. About six weeks ago, I bought the new Office Suite for Mac and decided, since I'd been having trouble with mail and wasn't sure if it was Comcast's fault or Mac Mail's fault, so I figured I'd give Outlook a try-- to see if that eliminated my problem.
It didn't, so I figure the issue is a Comcast problem and I'll have to deal with them at some point, but now I have a new problem. I like Outlook, for the most part, except for one little hiccup: once a week, it does a complete download of all the messages I've received during the previous week. It behaves as if I haven't received the messages at all and just goes to town-- ultimately, this amounts to somewhere in the neighborhood of two thousand messages suddenly crowding my inbox.
I can't figure out how to make it stop and nothing in any of the menus or preferences seems to point to this problem. I really would welcome any suggestions.
tommyrot,
I just saw an article on tuaw about bad time and the ipad, and it seems like the article may impact ipod touches as well. You might want to check into that.
I just looked at the time of my ipad and the clock is now running 3 minutes faster than my phone, so there does seem to be a problem.
Emerald Time is an app I have been using to give me the "real" time (iphone or ipad) - I think it is free or cheap. It cannot change the time for you though.
diigo finally completed importing my bookmarks. It took almost 3 full days. The tag list still hasn't shown up, and it's been almost 4 and a half days now. I also see that in my description for each bookmark the text cut off after about a line and three quarters. The information was present in the file used to do the import, and it doesn't appear to be a space limitation, so I don't know what happened. But all in all I am not encouraged.
Tivo HD (series 3 owners) - is there anything special I need to do to record 2 shows at once w/ an antenna? (Like, do I need 2 to use the dual tuner function?)
Giving up cable is more complicated than I thought!
Have you checked to see if you get the broadcast channels over cable in the clear?
What do you mean broadcast channels over cable?
(I have an antenna, and it works great, even for WNET which I know for many people in Brooklyn is a Problem Channel.)
Cablevision may or may not be encrypting the regular broadcast channels. If you're keeping your cable modem, and they're channels are not encrypted, there's nothing to prevent you from receiving them after the rest of your cable TV goes away.
