Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!

Stupid Excel question. I can't see columns A-E in a spreadsheet, how do I unhide them?
ETA: Nevermind. Someone froze the panes. I hate sharing spreadsheets with people.

I will, although I suspect not: it's not really a good investment on their part, you know?
I have had luck in the past getting them to transfer lifetime service. One of our TiVo HD machines is running on the lifetime account I paid $99 for in 1999 on an original TiVo.
With today's market, a tivo is a luxury, and people might choose to go without or move to a cable provider DVR if they have to pay a monthly fee again.
I'm on my third TiVo, original lifetime subscription.

Okay, how did you do that?

I do not have secret powers! ::sigh::
By keeping an eye on their site, and upgrading whenever they mentioned they'd carry it over. But I would try asking and pushing, just in case.
