I'm trying to figure out the cheapest way to the Internet once I move. Any thoughts on dial-up? It's been eons since I had it.

I'm not even considering cable. I'm just trying to keep the minimum until I can figure out what I can really afford. This is all kind of happening fast and isn't really very well planned.
I'm moving out of my sister's house and leaving the free satellite and dsl behind.
Is free wi-fi at McD's or Barnes & Noble, or some coffee shop type of thing not an option?
