Buffy? I like that. That girl's so hot, she's buffy.

Our wings are not tired

Interesting. Because I've heard people staying away from the Windows Mobile devices because their memory management was so poor--and it was around the multi-tasking.

Oh don't get me wrong, my windows mobile 5 device was a mess. However, while it would do things like not switch to apps and all kinds of things I could pretty much always answer an incoming call. Then the touch screen went flaky and it decided to only vibrate and not ring, even when it was set to ring. So now I'm using a RAZR V3i until the iPhone comes out.

Hey. New board.

Everybody had stability issues with the 650s, apparently, including me, but the only time my 680 has ever rebooted is when I do it intentionally, and it's never crashed. And it rings all the time when I'm browsing the web - no issues as of yet.

However, I agree that Palm OS is incredibly out of date. It's just that I don't like anything else better. Yet.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I want to see the Linux Palm OS. Before I get old.

now I'm using a RAZR V3i until the iPhone comes out.

I've heard, too, lots of RAZR bitching. I am on my second one, and sometimes the Bluetooth craps out and has to be restarted--but I use Bluetooth a lot--100% of the time when I'm home, for instance.

More irritatingly is that it sometimes fails to make the GPRS connection required for it to act as my PDA's modem, and needs to be restarted to work properly.

I still like it, though. I just want to get away from T9. I'm not even thinking seriously about replacing my standalone PDA, although it will probably happen bit by bit.

Maybe it's because I don't use Bluetooth, but I've never had a probelm with my RAZR, other than the somewhat fragile front cover glass.

Hey. New board.

The bluetooth on my Treo 680 is a bit finicky too, actually. Though some of my issues can probably be blamed on my laptop, which has had minor problems with every bluetooth device I've used it with.

I wouldn't turn down a Linux Palm OS. I would love an iPhone that isn't as locked down as the first gen appears likely to be. I'm a fan of flexibility in all my devices, and I don't think Phone OS X will be open enough for my standards for a while after release.

What are your standards?

Oh, and my RAZR battery life is APPALLING. I do hate that.

Yeah, I use the phone a lot for checking email and surfing b.org, and the occasional video game to prevent boredom.

This burns battery life like crazy.

When you check email with it, Sean, does it download the entire message? I'm trying to find a way to have it just download the headers, like my Palm does. Otherwise I'm sucking battery and bandwidth like a crazy person.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I haven't noticed any problems with my 700p's bluetooth, though I do want a new headset. (The one I have doesn't fit very well on my ear, and I'm always worried about it falling off.)

So uh...does anyone have a bluetooth headset they love? I don't need any buttons on it except answer/hangup and volume. And I'd prefer it if it didn't blink unless it was doing something -- my current one blinks every ten seconds to let me know it's still connected, which is annoying when it's on my desk, and annoying to other people when it's on my ear.

What do you have, Jessica?

I have the Motorola H700, and I find it fits well, has a decent battery life, and IIRC can be set so it doesn't blink when activated.
