Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Web question:

I just discovered that if you have an HTML form with a single text entry field, hitting the Enter key automatically submits the form. Is there any way of overriding this behavior (either in the form design or using Javascript)?

eta: I did a workaround by adding an additional hidden text field. But that seems somewhat kludgy to me so if anyone has another idea....

This looks about right.

I reported this in Natter, but I wanted to make Tech history by solving a software problem on my own!

"Combine PDFs" helped me to organize and combine 21 pdf files into a handbook. It was super easy and the end result is wicked useful.

Yay!

So, it turns out the G5 tower my friend's company gave me last year actually has the CS3 studio products installed.

There they are, sitting on the hard drive, taunting me. The tech guy who gave me the system did not pass along the unlock code. He, and the company, are now out of business and/or out of touch.

Does anyone have the older, cs3 v10 version who would be willing to pass along an unlock code?

I'm not sure which of the products I'd actually use, but it would be nice to have access.

I swear to never register or transfer the code...ever. Since the powerpc has been forsaken by Apple anyway, who else would want it?!

Bonny, I can't help you but I thought I should point out that if the computer is connected to the web, then registration isn't optional. It will automatically register the moment you complete putting in the code.

Ah, well that stuffs it then Pete. Thanks for that heads up. I would not want to put anyone else's registration at risk.

Pity. Seems a waste.

More's the pity that even if I could buy the package, the new software won't work on this perfectly functional machine.

Sigh.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

My Shuffle has started turning itself off occasionally. It's playing, and then the music stops, and I have to turn it off and on and press play, and it's fine. But it did that twice on Wednesday.

And when I plug it into my computer, a (blank) Explorer window pops up temporarily, and that window also pops up every time I delete a song or add a song to it. I restored it back to factory settings, and it was still doing it. Anyone know what's going on? It's over two years old; is it just That Time?
