Some friends and I are actually using Wave to do online RPGs, with some decent success. Shame it'll be going away (eventually).

According to some, Google Wave was great for managing multi-person conversations that spanned multiple internet media i.e. email, chat (don't know if handle social networks as well). Apparently a limited market. And heard this, so don't know that it is true.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Hmm. Had Google Wave. Didn't know what to do with it.

You, me and a lot of other people, apparently.

Hey, Dana, in the future, I've got Sibelius and we use it extensively. The SO does all his orchestral composition on it, and I use it to make 7 note scale charts for beginner students. Heh.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Liese, if I sent you a .sib file with two voice parts together could you easily split it into 2 midis or mp3s?

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Yup. I'm pretty sure.

I might try that in a few days. Because you are awesome.

It would be no prob. You have my addy, right? I love Sibelius. It`s saved us countless hours. Well worth the big bucks.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I feel like this should be easy, but I can't figure it out. I just transferred several documents onto a CD, and I want to write the filenames on a label. Is there anyway to just export the filenames in text without having to retype the whole list?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Vortex, is this Windows?

If so, open a DOS window and change to the directory or drive where the files reside. Run this command:

dir * > filelist.txt

Then open filelist.txt. You may have to delete that filename from the list.

eta:

This will produce a nicer list:

dir /B * > filelist.txt

eta²:

If on a Mac, use:

ls -1 * > filelist.txt

Note that this will only list the current directory - you need a different command to get subdirectories listed.
