Is it twice as good? It's twice as expensive...

I liked my 880 a lot. I've since downgraded to a 550 (selling the 880 to my old roommate) because it does everything I need (my electronics setup is pretty simple these days) but I miss the feel of the 880.
The only problem I ever had with it was that the charge cradle didn't fit the remote perfectly, so it took a bit of a balancing act to get the remote to charge. But it was a very minor annoyance, not as annoying as actually having to change the batteries. I'd jump on it for $80.
Edit: You might also want to consider the Harmony 700 ($110 on Amazon). And the Harmony one is available refurbished for $130 on Tiger Direct. But I'd still go for the $80 880.
I have a 670 in the bedroom and a One in the living room and I'd say the one is almost twice as good yes.
It really is about them finally doing a good button layout so that you can find things on the remote by touch. The buttons are different shapes and the layout is so much better.
I hate to admit it because I was the one railing against the need for one that was twice as expensive, but I luvre the nicer one, and the other annoys me.
Hmm. Okay, you've convinced me.
Now, who wants to give me $80?
I went ahead and sucked up and paid the $400 for the iPhone 4. I am still pissed about paying so much when new customers can get it for half that. Whatever. Moving on. I look forward to finally having it.
And now I want a Harmony remote. Can it work Netflix on the Wii too? Or would I still have to use the Wii remote? 'cause I hate that damned thing.
Wait, you found one in stock?? Where?
Apple just sent me an email saying that my reservation was "moving up the priority list" and that they'd be in touch soon. Um, thanks?
Java, don't you have a Roku box and a Tivo? Both of those get Netflix streaming in HD.
Jess, I have a Series 2 Tivo, last I checked it doesn't get Netflix. The Roku is in the bedroom. I use the Wii for the living room.
My iPhone is ordered through work (deal is that work pays for a basic phone; if we want something fancy, we write a check). Work does pay the monthly bill, though, thank dog.
I've got no need to upgrade the Tivo, either. I rarely use it. With Video on Demand, the only things I use the Tivo for are Fox shows (for some reason they're not on VoD). But a friend gave me the Tivo with lifetime service, so I don't pay any monthly fee.

Ah, gotcha.
I moved it to Natter.
Carry on!
