I've never even thought to bother. I just let mine expire. Huh. I wonder if that was a waste.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
A domain name is pretty cheap though I believe going up slightly in July. When owners release really cool ones can they get a lot more than the price of a new domain? How much more?
Is there any way to set up filters for tweets on the Twitter main page? That's where I access it.
(I really wish they'd called it something less silly than Twitter.)
iPhone 4: Reserved!
Kind of sad that they're only available in black at the launch. I also accidentally selected the crowded Apple store for pick-up, which means that not only will I have to claw my way through a crowd of my fellow nerds, but also a whole bunch of tourists in order to get my shiny new toy.
Apple also released a new Mac Mini today: [link] Still no BluRay.
Apple and AT&T are both giving me error messages. Bah.
[ARGH. At this rate it'll be faster to wait until the damn thing is in stores.]
Apple also released a new Mac Mini today:[link] Still no BluRay.But it does seem to have HDMI, which would make it a lot easier to connect to your TV and make an entertainment center out of it. Very tempting.
Yup, HDMI, and an SD slot in the back.
Plus? Direct AC connection, the converter is inside now.
The unit draws only 10 watts.
It also comes with 2 GB RAM and has an access door to upgrade RAM on the bottom. RAM capacity at this time is 8GB.
Didn't realize the no power brick. Very interesting. That thing was almost as big as the computer. So tempting. Damn. Why did I have to move? I can't afford all these toys at once. New Mini. New iPhone. New Xbox. Guest bedroom furniture. Humbug I say.
They can sleep on the XBox. Priorities, man.
Suppose I have a Droid with Verizon service (provided by a corporate account that will expire on the 22nd). If I were to add a line to my already existent Verizon account, could I put this phone onto it and not lose all the old messages etc. that it had from the old number?
I did some kind of thing to back up the files onto an external hard drive, so not everything should get lost even if they do go away with the current phone number, right? But I'm a little unclear what I was backing up - I moved all the files I could see while the phone was in USB mode, but I don't really know what they were.
