The directory is completely frelled (interesting side note - the iPhone spell check thinks "frelled" should be "Creoles"). I wiped the directory and am reinstalling. Sigh. I think I got everything important off the drive.

Crap. The reinstall may have stalled out with "six minutes remaining." This could be bad. The drive may be frelled.
It's beach balling me. Still "six minutes remaining."

I think I might have a few spare 2.5" IDE drives in the shop. What size is the drive Sean?
It's a 160 GB drive, I think.
Yeah, I'm pretty certain I've got a drive of that size in the shop. Mark should know where they are. There might even be a 250 GB in there somewhere.

Technological progress is a cruel mistress.
Speaking of iphones, I feel guilty for even asking this, but I've recently acquired some audiobooks in a format readable by itunes. (mpeg-4)
However, once I put the chapters in a playlist on itunes, I can't seem to transfer them to my inactive iphone.
It isn't imperative, of course, but it sure would be nice. What am I not understanding about the technology and is there a way around it?
