Spike? It's you. It's really you! My therapist thought I was holding on to false hope, but…I knew you'd come back. You're like…you're like Gandalf the White, resurrected from the pit of the Balrog, more beautiful than ever. Oh…he's alive Frodo. He's alive.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I've decided to bite the bullet and get a portable GPS dealie (even if I only use it three times a year, it's better than getting lost, and they're *so* cheap these days).

I've only ever used Garmin in the past, and I like them, but TomTom has Star Wars voices. So I'm torn.

Zenkitty - I really haven't decided yet. I might pass it on to Kelly if she wants it. If not, I'll let you know. It does have lifetime programming - is that transferable? I need to look into that.

Not so nice is that I'm about to ruin a Friday morning for a bunch of people because of a series of unfortunate events and an upset foreign government. - shrift

Jessica, we've had good results both with Magellan Roadmates and TomToms. The only thing I'd recommend is spending a little more and getting one with lifetime map updates.

The C3P0 voice will probably be pretty entertaining.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

Anyone else have a Tivo Premier? Any opinions?

The new OS feels like a work in progress to me. Sometimes I get the old screens and sometimes I get the new ones, with little rhyme or reason to it. But if you didn't previously have an HD Tivo, then you'll love it regardless.

Thanks Jon. My current machine is a Series 2. I'm also looking forward to being able to get Netflix streaming through my Tivo.

Yeah, it's a big step up from a S2. If you already have a S3, I wouldn't bother upgrading. I did, and partly regret it.

Our wings are not tired.

Suzi, yes, the lifetime Tivo is transferable.

It might be transferrable now, but there was definitely a time when the subscription went with the box. If you bought it then, they may be difficult.

Vortex, that was what I meant, the subscription with the box to a new person. I don't think you can shift a subscription from one box to another.
