I've got Dreamhost and I've been pretty happy with it.

I've used Dreamhost, godaddy and ipowerweb.
I don't love godaddy, but agree with Deena about the customer service. I've had a pretty good experience on that front though the godaddy user interface is so chaotic as to be seizure inducing.
My ipowerweb account was hacked today and I'm having trouble getting that resolved.
Never had a problem with Dreamhost, so can't speak to their service.
I'm still working on the problem of converting avi to dvd. The product I tried isn't that great afterall.
The forums wax rhapsodic about handbrake, but I have a 10.4 bound ppc. No matter where I look, I can't find an old version. Does anyone have a secret hookup for handbrake 9.2 or 9.3. I'm not really worried about non-existent support, if it works.
I don't suppose there is an accurate site that outlines which companies offer high speed internet for a particular address, is there? The joys of moving! Whee! I hope my new apartment has more to offer than just DSL. Sad to say, U-verse not offered in my new city.
I've used DreamHost and am very happy with their responsiveness. I used their Chat to resolve a PHP problem.
I've heard good things about Hostgator, FWIW.

There's other old versions down the left-hand column.
Thank you so much Jon. I was able to download handbrake 9.1...but still can't make it work! It tells me no valid titles are found...argh.
More work on this later.
Again, thanks for the assist.

Thanks for all the suggestions.
Every time I open Windows, it defaults to Calibri for a font. I do *all* my work in Times New Roman. Is there a way to set the default to Times New Roman? (I might be able to figure it out on my Mac, but the PC version constantly confuses me.)
Do you mean Word / Office?
Scroll down a bit and you'll see the instructions.
Excel is less tricky. Click the big circle menu in the top-left corner of the window. Click on the Excel Options button on the bottom of the menu. Then choose popular and there should be a setting for the default font to use in a new worksheet.
