Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Those "not yet"s are the things I'm waiting for. Can't see paying that much money for something that won't let me play music while I'm on the internet.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I'm thinking that the latter two will likely be in the 2nd gen iPad, perhaps all three.

I think the camera is a certainty, as it seems pretty likely it was part of the original launch design but removed for unknown reasons. Multitasking would rock. Flash just isn't going to happen, IMO.

I'd love to have one, but I'm going to wait a while.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Zenkitty,

you can do that now on the ipad and on an iphone and ipod touch. Technically, the iphone/touch/ipad has multi-tasking, just not with 3rd party apps.

You can play music through the Music app and surf the Internet or be in a number of other applications.

You can't watch video and do other things, but music has been done for awhile.

How come no Flash, you think?

Flash brings down mac OS in a spectacular way. It can slow down mac systems if you have flash open for awhile. Flash developers (reportedly) have refused to fix some of the memory leaks which degrades performance.

Really? I did not know that. I thought macs were invulnerable. (I've never owned one.) Well, in that case, Flash is probably right out.

I don't really know this personally, except for the serious slowdown Firefox experiences after awhile.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I installed ClickToFlash on my Mac. I rarely need to turn flash on. I'm mostly glad to be rid of the annoying ads.

Our wings are not tired

Flash is not the best written nit of code. There are some much better ways to do video in web browsers and Apple is once again trying to force the issue and get the market to move to a new standard. Also Flash is controlled closely by Adobe and Apple doesn't like being beholden to another company.
