Can anyone recommend a good online backup service? I'm paranoid about my laptop AND my external HD going kaplooey, or the house blowing up, or something.
We've been using Mozy, which backs up fine. Haven't had to restore from it yet. Be prepared for the fact that your initial upload of files will take a while. Like, days.
One simple solution to this is to back up to another external HD, and keep the drive locked in a drawer at work.

Steph, how much space are you talking about?
About 60 GB.

Don't use Carbonite.
I'm on the fence between the 3G and non 3G iPad. I have a Verizon MiFi that I've got a two year contract on, so I'm kinda leaning towards doing the non 3G version.
No 3G for me. I don't want the monthly outlay. Hell, I still have a first gen iPhone and it suits my needs just fine.
