The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

Are you still on the contacts tab, with its T9-style pad? When I switch to the search tab, search by company is the first selection in the pick-list, and it works okay for me.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Switch to the search tab how, from where? In Star Contacts or normal Contacts?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

In StarContact, I have four tabs at the top of the screen: Contacts - Phone - Call log - Search.

On the Search screen, there is a field for keyword entry, a "Search By:" pick-list, and a Search button. The pick-list offers Company, Phone Number, Email, IM, Address, and Note

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

New Tivo arrived!! I may actually have a working DVR by the Oscars on Sunday. Woo hoo!

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

You might not have a station to watch the Oscars, though: [link]

Shhhhhhhhhhhh. I'm in denial about that.

Even better news, TiVo won't be going out of business anytime soon.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

What ita said.

I just noticed the Tivo Series 4 announcement on Gizmodo. [link] Count me as underwhelmed. I certainly don't see any reason to dump my Series 3, even if Tivo allows me to transfer my subscription.

Just from a quick scan of that report--I already have Swivel Search. I like it a lot, but don't use it that much. It sounds like most of what they're pimping.

Just one CableCard--does that mean one tuner, or still two shows at a time?

A keyboard on my remote would be cool, though.
