Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

How can one find out how exposed you are by Buzz?

I was wondering about that, too, but the thing about how to get rid of it said to start with your profile, and I've never set one up, so I'm clear? No idea.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

even if you have never set up a profile, you still need to take the other steps.

if people who follow you have public profiles and you respond to one of their buzzes, the world may know your gmail address.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Not necessarily. The woman who was complaining about the intrusion of her privacy because of the exposure to her abusive ex was quite deliberate about keeping on the down low and had no profile, but somehow had followers--I think she found them in gmail?

Yeah, I don't have a profile, but I had followers until I turned off buzz.

I don't follow anyone. One time I set up some stuff in google reader, but don't use it. I'll clear that out, I guess. I never saw anything in Buzz, but I never looked.

Ooh, one person is following me! One of the two people I've ever emailed gmail-to-gmail.

Neither of my primary gmail addresses have followers. Whew.

I had 8. I think they may have all been gmail-to-gmail.

I have one. I just recently switched from bloglines to gmail reader, but I may switch back.
