Also, you should be able to resize from anywhere, so you could also pull the top down a bit (if you can) and resize from the top.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Oh yeah. That's one of the few things about Macs that bug me - you can only resize from the bottom right corner on a Mac, but on a PC you can grab any corner or edge.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I'm on a Mac.

But View Full Screen worked.

Counter intuitive since I associate that with embiggening the object viewed, and I wanted it smaller. Like, you know, Video - Half Size.

Anyway, but that did the trick. Thank you.

Cool. 'Cept now I'm wondering - how do you resize a window like Hec's on a Mac if you don't want to maximize it?

eta: Until someone who knows what they're talking about pipes in, my theory is "that's not supposed to happen", and maybe someone else had that Excel file open in a system with a bigger monitor, and it's remembering the size it was last opened to.

Hey. New board.

"Maximize" on a Mac just means "grow it big". It's not a separate state, like on Windows. So you can push the "Maximize" button, then resize back down to whatever you want.

I've never found a command to move/resize a window by keyboard, though it probably exists.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Google Buzz is a PITA. I am posting a couple of warnings to people here.

1) If you have a public google profile (which I do not), it is possible that all of your contacts will be exposed to the world. Here is an article more about the issue and what to do:

[link]

2) If you use google reader, apparently Google Buzz sent an invitation to select people on your gmail contacts list requesting that you follow them. In my case, 2 of the entries on the list were from a friend who died last year, so thanks for dredging up bad memories, Google!

Here is a link to unfollow people who google asked to follow.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Good to know that I have still no reason to release my grudge against Google.

That's exactly what happened.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I am having serious DRM problems with Napster. Although the very act of typing that made me realize one more troubleshooting step I could take. Hmm.

All is well that ends in pizza.

Fifty AG13 button batteries don't take up much space, do they?

I am looking at my recently delivered stash and they all fit on a 3x6 molded plastic tray.

Not bad for $3.80 including free shipping.
