That sounds like a RAM thing Vonnie. When I've seen the beeping without posting, that's what it is more often than not.

Got a question about technology? Ask it here. Discussion of hardware, software, TiVos, multi-region DVDs, Windows, Macs, LINUX, hand-helds, iPods, anything tech related. Better than any helpdesk!
I really hope so, Gud. Anything but a motherboard problem. I've only had this machine for 3 1/2 years and have already upgraded the power supply and the video card. I don't wanna have to switch out the rest of the stuff as well.
It's the same axe Abraham Lincoln used. It's only had three new heads and six new handles.
That's some seriously bad luck. I don't think I've ever had a video card fail. I've had a couple of power supplies fail, but that was before I started making sure I bought good ones.
I've actually had two video cards fail, but this is a high end HDMI-enabled Media Center. The replacement card this time has its OWN fan, because its intended for game and video-production use.
That's some seriously bad luck.
Tell me about it. Or maybe it's me and I have a computer components equivalent of a Black Thumb. The machine was running fine before I messed with the memory stick this time, so it must be something I've done, right? *sigh*
The video card fail though -- that was not me! Not sure what the hell happened there.
Sophia,
is your mother paying for the subscription on a credit card? If so, you might go through them and dispute future charges if the MSN people give you guff.
I am paying for it on my credit card! But that is an idea. This was to tide her over until she could get roadrunner, which she now has.
document your attempts to cancel the service and then dispute the next charge.
