If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Yeah it would. That might make it more compelling for me.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

So, I suspect that sharing files will work with the Apple Tablet much like it does for the iphone/ipod touch:

there are programs where I can access other computers, access dropbox and google docs, etc. through wifi (touch) or 3G (iphone). Would this be enough accessibility for you all who want to transfer files?

Our wings are not tired

Since they announced a version of iWork for the iPad I'm going to assume that there will be a reasonably decent way of transferring files.

Even from my iPhone they have a pretty nice iDisk client that I use. I already keep a copy of all of my documents on my iDisk so that they are backed up and can be accessed easily from multiple computers. From the iPhone iDisk client I can already view documents and send them to other people.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I'm thinking more for traveling with media, since there's no cloud storage for iTunes yet. A 16GB flash drive would be a good way to carry an extra season or two of TV in case you run out of things to watch on the road.

I do that with my iPhone quite a bit right now. Even with only 16 GB on the iPhone I'm amazed at how much I can squeeze onto the device. I think with the 32 or 64 GB version there will be a lot of room for keeping extra stuff around.

I'm thinking more like that one keyboard that is actually just a glowing projected thing you type into. I don't remember what it's called, but seems it could be the perfect companion. That or one of the ones you can roll up.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ND, in one review I read, the author indicated that apple used language like "import" for the iwork applications. Which the author thought could mean that Pages on the Ipad does something slightly different to the file than if it were on the desktop.

I'm sure it will be a different sort of file system, but to me as long as it can get on and off the device I don't care what they call it. I'm hopeful that it is an improvement over the folder style system of a desktop OS. I've used Windows tablets for years and the desktop OS does not work very well in a handheld config. It's why I prefer the iPhone over the Windows Mobile device I used to use. The winmobile at the time was a tweak to a desktop OS that didn't work well handheld.
