Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hmm. Looking at new phones. Android phones only, so far. My integration concerns are Mac-based. Looks like my Bluephone Elite investment will be for no good anymore. They only have limited compatibility.

Googling implies that to use iSync I should be going through gmail to do it. Really? Back in the day I actually used to synchronise through yahoo address book, but I don't use gmail as a primary email or calendaring services. Is it the only way? What about a to-do list? I read someone saying they'd likeone on Android. I can't imagine it doesn't have one. Is it just not tightly integrated?

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I just had a techgasm. Other women want diamonds, I want that.

Heh.

In your marriage ceremony you could have one of those 3-D printers print interlocking rings....

Waittaminute. Help for my OS X application says I should be able to synchronise with gmail, but I don't see the option where they say it should be, under Preferences/General. I just get Yahoo and Exchange and MobileMe.

Anyone know what that's about? I'm on Leopard.

eta: I see that it's only enabled for iTouch/iPhone users, which is not nice of Apple. And the hack I found (editing the ipod plist file) doesn't work for me.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

P-C - are you on a PC? If so, why don't you bring in an external hard drive/thumb drive and run firefox off that? The Portable apps firefox is the bomb (at least when I was on PCs).

Oooh, that looks kinda cool. I may look into that for the future.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

If you go with that option, most of the firefox extensions work with the portable app version, so for example, if you use xmarks to sync your bookmarks, you could keep them synced to your home computer and the portable version.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Hee. There's an iPhone app that lets you keep track of all the tablet rumors: [link]

Coding and Sleeping

I happened across the price for the processor I upgraded to this fall. Oddly, it was $60 more than what I paid. Out of curiosity I checked out the SSD drive I upgraded with and it's $50 more than what I paid. So that's $110 more than the about $400 I spent on upgrading. It's weird to have prices for stuff like that go up, and I'm amazed my timing was that good.

Not sure about the processor, but there must be a supply issue with flash memory.

Hmmm. I wonder which company is hoarding all the flash memory...
