What got me on to this was a realization how much time I was spending going to click on the "Back" browser button. I then remembered that Opera users could do mouse gestures for things like that, so I was wondering if Firefox had any Add-ons that did that. Then I remembered that the trackpad on my MacBook Pro had some features like that. So much like Dorothy, I discovered I had the solution to my dilemma with me all the time....

Whew! I just checked and my MacBook only does two fingers. I'm not missing out on anything (at least, THERE. I'm sure I'm missing out on tons of functionality that is awesomecakes that I just don't even realize I can do)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.
It's frustrating not to be able to use mouse gestures with a trackpad. I use gestures all the time when using Opera on the desktop. Never use the back button or the window close button.

Aha! I've been doing those 3 & 4 finger gestures accidentally. Nifty tricks when they're on purpose.

Connecting Win7 to somebody else network wasn't unpleasant. So far, Win7 with mostly GNU open source software is fine. One more connection at M & C place to try.

World's first 3D office photocopier launches
Ortery has launched a new office machine called 'Photosimile' or what it claims to be the world's first 3D product photography machine.
Photosimile is effectively a photocopier that creates virtual 3D replicas of whatever small artifact you like. Or animal (providing they sit still while the machine spins them around 360 degrees, that is!).

Ortery's Photosimile 5000 is now shipping at a cost of around US$17000 (£10550).
I think I'll wait for the price to come down a bit....
