Yeah. I figured I'd train myself on the three-fingered one first. Plus the Command/Tab (and Alt/Tab in windows) method of changing apps is pretty well ingrained in my brain, so I don't know if I'd use the four-fingered swipe to change apps.
eta: Just did some experimenting and I've rethought my feelings on four-fingered swiping. Now it seems it's one of those things were if my fingers are already on the trackpad, it's easier to do the four-fingered swipe than move my fingers to the keyboard for a Command/Tab and then back to the trackpad. But if my fingers are on the keyboard, Command/Tab is faster.

I can't wait to get my Macbook Pro and try the more-than-two finger trackpadding. Just scrolling with two fingers is so damned handy. It's what I keep forgetting when I move to a PC laptop.
My work laptop has a scroll area on the right side of the laptop--is that a model-specific thing, or standard?

What got me on to this was a realization how much time I was spending going to click on the "Back" browser button. I then remembered that Opera users could do mouse gestures for things like that, so I was wondering if Firefox had any Add-ons that did that. Then I remembered that the trackpad on my MacBook Pro had some features like that. So much like Dorothy, I discovered I had the solution to my dilemma with me all the time....

Whew! I just checked and my MacBook only does two fingers. I'm not missing out on anything (at least, THERE. I'm sure I'm missing out on tons of functionality that is awesomecakes that I just don't even realize I can do)

It's frustrating not to be able to use mouse gestures with a trackpad. I use gestures all the time when using Opera on the desktop. Never use the back button or the window close button.

Connecting Win7 to somebody else network wasn't unpleasant. So far, Win7 with mostly GNU open source software is fine. One more connection at M & C place to try.
