A ghost? What's the deal? Is every frat on this campus haunted? And if so, why do people keep coming to these parties, cause it's not the snacks.

I seek help from the uber-geeks. I copied a bunch of .wmv files to a CD-R in a DVD-RW drive. However, those files are unable to be read on a regular DVD drive or on a regular CD or CD-R drive. Whyfor not? They're just regular data files, aren't they?

All is well that ends in pizza.

For one, what format did you save it as? if it was UDF, that would be a factor.

For two, did you "finalize" the CD? Some formats don't do well if the CD is not closed.

If it was done as a multi-session burn, it might not be seen on another computer.

A turkey in every toilet -- only in America!

How big is each wmv file? If they're small, it's possible they are just pointers to data that's still out on the Internet.

Yes, to UDF. How can I not save them that way? I don't know if I finalized the CD or not. The file sizes are 11 meg-ish

You should be able to select "Data disk" or "ISO" or "ISO-XA" in Nero. What version do you have, and is it the Nero Express or another sort?

Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

My iMac arrived! I went home and played with it at lunch - it's so shiny!

Yes, I am a big kid.

Yes, Firefox installed, Azureus installed, options fiddled, all is going well.

Except I keep trying to press the right mouse button. It's driving me insane.

I love Macs, but their peripherals suck elephant balls. I think I put up with my Mac keyboard for about three seconds before heading to Staples and getting a MS mouse/keyboard combo.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Yeah, two-button USB mice work fine with Macs, but it's something to get used to after managing with one button for so long.

The Mighty Mouse isn't bad, but I wish the two-button functionality worked a little better. (The one-button-that-you-can-click-on-both-sides design is very pretty, but not as responsive as two REAL buttons would be.)
