Never fall in love with somebody you actually love.

Yes, Firefox installed, Azureus installed, options fiddled, all is going well.

Except I keep trying to press the right mouse button. It's driving me insane.

I love Macs, but their peripherals suck elephant balls. I think I put up with my Mac keyboard for about three seconds before heading to Staples and getting a MS mouse/keyboard combo.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Yeah, two-button USB mice work fine with Macs, but it's something to get used to after managing with one button for so long.

The Mighty Mouse isn't bad, but I wish the two-button functionality worked a little better. (The one-button-that-you-can-click-on-both-sides design is very pretty, but not as responsive as two REAL buttons would be.)

Yeah, I keep highlighting wrong things or scrolling off pages accidentally. I've not decided if it's me or the mouse which is useless yet.

I'm surprised how much software works on a Mac nowadays. I've got everything I've needed so far working without problems.

Long gone are the days when five geeks were producing all the mac software. the osx environment has been crucial in software development over the last six years or so.

Yeah. OSX is... striking. I'm a bit of an OS nerd, but mostly in the Windows (work) and open source sector. Having used Vista first, and now using OSX, I can tell you exactly where MS got it's Vista ideas from.

Yep! Even more telling is that OSX has been out and popular for years, with the fairly intuitive and revolutionary os design. I'm using it right now, in fact, and there's still times I look admiringly at how it operates, so stylish and pretty.

Ease of use is interesting. I thought it was going to be a nightmare, but after the whole 'why the fuck aren't half the keys working?!' thing it's starting to straighten out. Middle click to dashboard with calculator == godsend for me as I'm ALWAYS using the calculator.

And, hell, whenever anybody speaks on Instant Messenger I have a duck popping up in my panel. Which flaps it's wings. This makes me happy.

Adium is my favorite chat program from any platform. It's so well designed! Much love.

Other programs that get a lot of mileage: Quicksilver (cannot navigate without it!), democracy, igetter (download manager), transmission (the most simple, straightforward bittorrent client), writeroom, cyberduck, comical.
