That's not what I came here to post. Rather, I was going to say I used my new GPS this morning and it's working brilliantly. I could see my speed when my speedometer went out half-way to work. It also showed me the speed limits which was kinda cool and I didn't realize it could do.

I wish I could turn the display into a big speedometer, but it's not like it's designed just for me. Still works great and the delay isn't bad at all.

I'll have to play around with it more, but I just got it last night.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

Oh, mine does that too, Gud, and I love it! Does yours turn the numbers red when you break the speed limit by more than 3 mph? Now that's a handy feature for me, the person who'd do 80 everywhere if not for cruise control.

shrift, a friend of mine had the problem with the internet going wonky in Win 7. He said something about a setting that used to be default off in older versions, but is default on in Win 7? I didn't pick up a lot of the specifics, as I don't have the OS, but maybe that will help you in your search for an answer?

Can anyone tell me how secure the iPhone/edge network is? I forgot to make a transfer to my debit card. I can go to an ATM, but it's a pain

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

You are going to do this by phone or through the web?

Do the web and have https in the browser.

Sorry should have been clearer. I'm on the iPhone and need to make a transfer using the bank's website. I'm concerned about the security of the edge network with the iPhone

Hmm. Maybe? Thanks for the tip. I need to do some more research. And woman up and call tech support when I get back from Michigan.

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know.

wish I could turn the display into a big speedometer

From the map display, touch the area showing your speed and it will take you to a new screen with a bigger speed display, plus the trip odometer.

It also showed me the speed limits...turn the numbers red when you break the speed limit

Mine doesn't do that! ::scurries off to check for updates::

vortex, I think you should be okay as long as your browser has https in the browser.
