Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I never use standalone calculators, or else I'd be all over these: Real imitates virtual - Windows/Mac calculators

Korean product design firm MintPass came up with these great concept designs for real calculators that imitate their software counterparts.

All is well that ends in pizza.

My router and the CRT monitor that refused to die have been my longest lasting computer-related equipment. I wish I could find a printer that lasted that long.

I have a couple Imagewriter II's in the basement that still work...and a 5 pack of ribbons.

My old D-link router was crapping out so often, I splurged last weekend and got an Airport Express. So FAST. It's wonderful.

I've started the process! I have given up on Time/Warner cable & Internet. On Saturday U-verse will be installed. Happy to give review if folks are wanting.

Help! Renfield the iPod has developed a weird noise. Every now and then, no matter what I'm listening to, a blep-blep-blep distortion-type of noise happens. It doesn't matter what volume I've got the iPod on, it doesn't matter which headphones I'm using, and it doesn't matter if the iPod is plugged into speakers. Does anyone have an idea what might be going on?

I'm pretty sure I've restarted it recently, but hey, I'll give it a try!

is it a flash version of iPod, or hard drive type? It might be the drive going bad.

Hard drive. Nooo, Renfield can't die! Because if I have to replace this iPod, I would feel too self-conscious to have the same phrase engraved on the back. (Renfield says "Queen of the Goths", because it was a present from a group of friends.)
